Want to grow your business faster? Know your ideal client.

Consider these two key facts:

  1. Your customer has a pain.
  2. Your product or service solves that pain.

Your job as a marketer is to show them how you are going to relieve that pain, and make their world so much better with what you offer.  Knowing what your customers want will help to grow your business.
Say you’re a window washer, for example. Do you tell prospects about the incredible soap you use? That you have ladders that allow you to reach the third floor? That you have excellent squeegee skills?

Maybe. But do you think that excites someone who’s been looking at the world through dirty windows?

You’re going to change their dreary outlook on the world into a view that’s sparkling and bright!  You’re going to make their whole day better – every day!

How are you making your customers’ day better? Think of your greatest success story with a customer:

  • What result did that person get from working with you?
  • How did you relieve their pain and make their world better?
  • What would have been the cost to the client had they NOT used your product or service?

Get the answers to these questions, and you’ll have a solid foundation for all of your communication with prospects.
